Obligato - Strings for cello Pirastro
The Obligato strings by Pirastro for cello are made of a novel plastic with an aluminum, silver or tungsten wrapping. These strings are very close to the sound ideal of the gut strings, but are insensitive to humidity and temperature fluctuations.
Pirastro Obligato cello strings are modern synthetic strings with warm, brilliant sound, big powerful volume and easy response. Obligato cello strings have a warm and brilliant sound with big, powerful volume. These are synthetic strings with the exception of the A string which has a steel core. The A and D strings are wound with chrome steel, the G and C with tungsten. They are very responsive and give the player confidence through their absolute dependability. Obligato strings are resistant to changes in temperature and humidity.
