Utilizing a new heat-resistant synthetic fiber and high quality windings, Pirastro Obligato Violin Strings offer high dependability with a brilliant, clear tone with high volume making them an excellent string for the soloist. Highly responsive, with high modulation, these strings sit in a class of their own.
Set with a core of new synthetic fibre, E-string plain goldsteel and ball end. A-string aluminium wound, D- and G-string silver wound. In the year 1998 the Obligato strings from the Pirastro company set the basis for the developing of a totally new string generation. They possess a warm, rich, sonorous tone quality and remain precise and focused at the same time. The impressive amount of volume and a very dynamic response make them suitable for all ranges. They get immediately playable and offer the highest degree of modulation. Advantageous for these new synthetic strings compared to gut strings is the longer durability and the resistance against temperature and humidity changes. They get quickly tuned.

东西不错，换弦后整个琴的感觉完全不一样。我朋友说，你这个一千多的琴上这个弦完全是浪费了。不过我的感觉还是很满意的。

I've been playing the violin for around fifteen years, and been using Pirastro strings exclusively for most of that time. I''ve used five different strings in that time (Oliv, Passione, Evah Pirazzi, Wonderton) but the Obligatos are by far my favourite. Of all of the different strings that I've used, the Obligatos have the most enjoyable tone and response. Their timbre is very broad and rich. I think that they are also a very durable string. Obligatos also feature a very low string tension, much less than say the Evah Pirazzis. You really can't go wrong with any of Pirastros strings, but you'll especially enjoy the Obligatos. You'll never go back to Dominants again!
